I previously posted another image from this series. For me, at least, good images tend to come in bunches. Search for days, then wham. Conditions are just right and I make several strong images.

I prefer the color photo over the B&W. That’s a personal choice, not a quality choice. I’ve always leaned toward color photos. Your composition, as usual, is great.

In this case, I prefer the color version as well. IMO the B&W version doesn’t have strong whites to provide the contrast. Again, strictly personal preference.

I’m leaning toward the color version myself. However, I think that the monochrome version lost a little something during the conversion to a web-size sRGB image. I may make up a couple of prints today to compare the images in tangible form.
