I captured these butterfly images at the excellent Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado. The Pavilion does not permit tripods, so I made all of these images with flash as main light. In this case, the back background (caused by light falloff — the flash is very close to the subject) works. Be sure to click on the images for a larger version.
